Fabricator

A Fabricator in an oil field is responsible for fabricating metal structures and equipment used in the exploration, extraction,
and transportation of oil and gas.

Here are the job responsibilities and requirements:

Job Responsibilities:

1. Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics to fabricate metal structures and equipment.
2. Use hand and power tools, including saws, grinders, and drills, to cut, shape, and assemble metal components.
3. Operate fabrication equipment, such as bending and cutting machines, to shape metal components.
4. Follow safety procedures and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.
5. Maintain accurate records of fabrication activities, including material usage records.
6. Inspect finished products to ensure they meet quality and safety standards.
7. Repair or modify existing metal structures and equipment as needed.
8. Collaborate with engineers and other team members to develop new designs and solutions to fabrication problems.

Job Requirements:

1. Diploma or equivalent technical or vocational training in fabrication or a related field preferred.
2. At least 3 years of experience in metal fabrication in the oil and gas industry.
3. Knowledge of fabrication techniques and materials commonly used in the oil and gas industry.
4. Understanding of safety procedures and regulations related to fabrication.
5. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics.
6. Strong attention to detail and ability to produce high-quality work.
7. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
8. Familiar with oil and gas field safety risks, and have participated in corresponding safety training.
