Power Plant Operation Skilled Staff

Job Responsibilities:

1. Operate and control power plant equipment and systems to generate electricity in a safe and efficient manner.
2. Monitor equipment and systems to ensure they are operating within established parameters.
3. Take readings and record data from meters, gauges, and other monitoring devices.
4. Respond to alarms and troubleshoot equipment or system malfunctions.
5. Adjust equipment controls to maintain proper operation.
6. Perform routine maintenance tasks such as lubrication, filter changes, and inspections.
7. Maintain accurate records of operations, maintenance, and other activities.
8. Coordinate with other personnel to ensure smooth operation and minimize downtime.
9. Follow all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
10. Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Job Requirements:

1. Diploma or equivalent technical school or apprenticeship program preferred.
2. Prior experience as a power plant operator or in a related field preferred.
3. Basic understanding of power plant systems, equipment, and operations.
4. Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and drawings.
5. Good communication and interpersonal skills.
6. Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
7. Physical ability to climb ladders, lift heavy equipment, and work in confined spaces.
8. Willingness to work rotating shifts, weekends, and holidays as required.
9. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
10. Familiar with power plant safety risks, and have participated in corresponding safety training.
